Trying a no merchant run of Resident Evil 4 · 3:47pm May 12th, 2020
I saw someone do a challenge video on youtube, and it's been a while since I've played RE4, so I thought I'd give it a shot and see how it goes.
So far it really hasn't been that difficult. RE4 has an adaptive difficulty system, so if you're doing poorly it will provide more ammo and health items. And if you're doing really well it will provide less. Same with enemy health. Basically it's meant to assure that you'll be able to beat the game regardless of skill level.
So far I'm 7 hours in and I haven't really struggled. I'm on the fourth chapter out of 5, so I'm 60% done. You've got the smallest possible case, and the only weapons you get are the handgun you start with, a shotgun you find in the first area, and way later on a magnum. I'm a little nervous about chapter 5 since that's where the toughest enemies are, especially the regenerating one, but I'll keep pushing on and see how it goes.
Good luck friend
Damn, kudos to you! Good luck N2MP!
(Also, after practically years of adorable fanart content, it's hilarious to see Resident Evil in the feed now lol)

Well, I've always played the series, but didn't have much of a reason to comment about it.
