The train seems to be rolling again, but it has a long way to go · 1:44am May 10th, 2020

Hello Everypony, ScarFox9700 here.

A while back, I wrote a blog post mentioning delays that were happening with the next story in the Battleship Express Saga, the much-anticipated "Tale of 2 Big Boys". The time has come for me to once again address these delays, as well as a possible tentative date for release. Recently, my co-author for this story, "An Iowa Class Battleship", finally got his internet up and running again, though did have to take some time away from writing because of a family emergency. However, he told me yesterday that the time to start writing has come again, and we will soon start work once again on Chapter 1. We're still somewhere between 3/4 and 5/6 of the way through the Chapter, and there might still be more changes to make while we work, but we're getting there. Once Chapter 1 is complete, that puts us that much closer to being able to publish the story for all of you. And then we begin Chapter 2. Once Chapter 2 is complete, then we can finally release the story! I know that it's been a VERY long wait for all of you fans of the Battleship Express Saga, and the fans of "Rails of Destruction", and I would like to extend my greatest appreciation for all of you for waiting so patiently for this story to be completed enough for submission.

And now returning to my earlier point of a tentative release date. A few days ago, I was discussing this very same thing with Iowa, and we came to a conclusion on the matter. Originally, my hope was to have Chapter 2 done by the end of 2020, however, the Chinese got angry, and since they didn't want the story to come out, (damn Futa sympathizers! Or maybe because this story also mocks Communism. That must be it. They didn't want it to come out because it mocks Communism!) they decided to let some COVID-19 out of Wuhan, and spoil all the joy that you would have had. In the aftermath of the Pandemic, I was undaunted, and was hoping to get more writing done in lockdown, but after March, things really began to go wrong. From internet failures, to family emergencies, to needing to take time off from writing, and other maladies. I was still hoping to reach that end of 2020 deadline, but when I talked to Iowa last night, he said that because of the pandemic, and because we want to get this story right (I agreed with him on both points), we needed to push back the tentative deadline. What is the new potential deadline for the story's submission? Well, as of right now, it seems to be sometime before the end of the first quarter of 2021. This means that our work will take the rest of the Summer, on through the Fall, and through the dead of Winter, then New Years 2021, before we finally reach Spring again, and the potential release date. Again, thank you all for bearing with us during our time of trying to write this story, and I sincerely hope that you will be able to bear with us for just a little while longer until we can finish Chapter 2. It may be a long road to 2021, but I know that we'll make it there.
