Dang~, time sure is fun while you're having flies, I suppose. Huh, how about that?

Anyway, jokes aside: Had a pretty good day. Hope the rest of you had too.

Eye of the Beholder Trilogy, free on GoG right now.

Never beat this one, but I did find an old copy of the first game as a tyke, and tried getting into it a few times.

Says something how new to both D&D and English I was, that I think I made... four Thieves, or something like that. Since I'd just played Thief 2 for the first time, and having four Gerath's in my party sounded super crazy awesome.

Snake Pass, free on Humble Bundle over the weekend.

Pretty charming little game, if a bit frustrating at times. I'd highly recommend it at the price of zero, though!

Evil Genius, currently free on Steam... Ish. · 9:24pm May 6th

I normally don't write about games where you need to jump through hoops to get games, I find it rather scummy...

Going to make an exception in this case, since this is one of those barely remembered classics that just got passed over in the pre-Internet age, and I have a lot of respect for Rebelion the studio. They're... odd, and generally do their own thing. A refreshing rarity for a AA studio their size.

I mean, just look at that. Austin Powers meets Dungeon Keeper. How solid an idea is that?

The game is hardly flawless, by any means. BIt on the slow side, and you being only able to directly control some units leads to some frustration at times... but honestly, the look, music and just humor is rock solid. Doubly so at the price of free. Free-ish.

Basically, you need to make an account on their website. I know, I know, but this is genuinely one of the few games I'd consider worth that sort of hoop hopping.

Destructoid article about it.

If not your thing... utterly fair. Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a good day.

*Fake edit.

Aware that Rebelion didn't make the original game. That was the sadly ripped from us too young Elixir Studios.

They ARE working on Evil Genius 2 right now and thought the IP worth dragging from the mists of time, though, so... Yay!
