I had planned to shift over to Nightmare Night after this latest chapter, but I find myself with momentum on the story again after a successful release--I really enjoyed the comments this time, folks; they told me I hit the mark I was aiming for on this chapter quite well--and a scene I very much want to get to.
If I pull it off, it will be another epic moment and serve as a powerful point of character development for two major figures, doubly so for the perspective it will be told through. I'll also serve to pull readers--and myself--out of the sadness the last chapter created. My stories are always balanced; there will be moments of sadness and defeat but also plenty of happiness and triumph. Though perhaps rebirth might be a better word for what's planned.
Guest chapters are also underway and in varying stages of completion by AJ_Aficionado and Denim_Blue. AJA is doing another Highborne scene while DB is handling the Changeling side of things. AJA's contribution will appear in conjunction with a Nightborne counterpoint scene involving Captain Typhoon's visit and appeal to the Lunar Council. DB's might well appear as a standalone chapter depending on length.
As always, more information will follow as we get closer, though I may refrain from teasers this time involving the epic scene to come. Better to have readers come in cold to this one, I think.
