IANG News - Well shite, I forgot about this · 4:13pm Apr 29th, 2020
So I reached the nineteen chapter for writing the summary and after looking over the title I gave it and given date... I became confused about what exactly was I planning this chapter to about... but then I remembered a particular detail I wrote during Chapter 12: Stone to Sand.
It mentioned that Orion would receive several transfer requests and information files about guards wanting and being sent to Ponyville in the coming months... You know what this means, we're getting a second wave of new guards!
While I already I got the names I previously got from the last name suggestion, but that doesn't mean we can't add even more to the list. Send in more names and as a bonus to this new name suggestion the sequel... Give me some non-pony races (gryphons, minotaurs, deers, diamond dogs, etc.), there will be a limit though as certain races won't be accepted... yet, example, changelings for many reasons, but I might slip one in and give an excuse.
So.... BRING IN THE NAMES!

I also want to add a few, small personalities along with the names, if only to give you a few more ideas.
•Barbed Rose (A Unicorn who enchants weapons to make them sharper? Deadly-er?)
•Quick Feather (Could be a grumpy Gryphon who joined the Equestrian Guard to have a more exiting life ”worth living for.”)
•Bubble Pop (An optimistic Unicorn who specializes in bubble shields of sorts, I suppose.)
•Heavy Ear (A Diamond Dog with amazing hearing. I believe that they have very good hearing since they live in caves, and sound travels through solid ground very well. I like to believe that's how they know where to dig upwards towards the surface, like that once scene after Rarity gets kidnapped.) Oops, I'm rambling.
•Light Tap (A minotaur that acts the exact opposite of normal behavior of his race. Values peace and safety, one of the many(?) reasons that he joined the guard. Could have left his tribe or something, to live peacefully with ponies, but is still trying to find his place.)
•Spine (An abandoned(?) changling.
After not being able to keep up with his/her hive, he/she was left alone to survive.)

I think either Spine or Quick Feather would be interesting. Refugees from far-away land also might know some lores that interests Eclipse.

That's a good point. Any abrupt or unexpected information, especially in Eclipse’s case, could flip the entire story on it's head. Though, I don't think Eclipse will enjoy that.

You can grab any bit of my comment and make your own characters inspired by them. Flip the names or attach whatever to get what you like.

The new guards were originally supposed to arrive by January - in the story, not IRL - but changed of plans and story, so the only excuse I can give why the new guards arrival is being changed is that an event occurs around January in the story, can spoil anything further than that.
