This is the first full year I've been on Fimfiction. It's certainly been interesting.
I had no idea what to expect, and just wanted a place to put my story. I fully expected nobody to ever actually read it. And even people telling me to stop.
I was wrong and not only did people read it, but I got support and encouragement. I even had a story hit featured.
I inspired another writer to make a companion piece to a fun story.
I've talked to many interesting people here. Some I've agreed with, some I haven't (to varying degrees.)
I've seen good people here. People who want to help others, and make them feel welcome and appreciated. Some who just wanted to make people laugh. Who would do everything they can to keep this a welcoming place for others.
I've seen terrible people too. Who just wanted to make people hurt, and disgust/horrify them.
I've heard of people who've left, who've walked away and worse.
I've seen people bare their souls in blogs and many in the community rally around them to give them the help and support they needed.
It's not all been great, but all the same I'm glad to be here.

Thank you all very much. Like I said, it's been an interesting year, lots of highs and definitely it's share of lows. But It's been much better being here, with everyone, than it would have been without.
Happy 1st anniversary, Stolen! I'm also going to be one year of being here in a few days.
