Grandma died · 5:42am Apr 27th, 2020
To immediately make things clear, no, it was not COVID-19. My grandma fell down some stairs in my grandparents home at some point in the night after grandpa had gone to sleep. Grandpa woke up to find her unconscious and bleeding in the morning. He couldn't wake her up. An ambulance was called and took her to the hospital. Apparently she had suffered a brain hemorrhage and gone into a deep coma. The damage done to her brain made it obvious she was not going to recover and she was taken off life support and died hours later with my grandpa and uncle in the room with her at the hospital. We had services for her this past Thursday. They were dialed back in scope because of the outbreak protocols but I'm thankful we were able to do as much as we did for her complete with a viewing and a graveside gathering and prayer.
I'm... not handling this well but right now I feel it would be in poor taste to tell you how a family member died and then go on about how it's affecting ME so... I'll just leave it at that.
Sad to have to go out like that.
Dude it’s perfectly fine to say how it’s affecting you, I mean that’s a big part of what death is, how it affects the people around it.
