So, I’m sure most of you are familiar with transformation. Recently I came across this image on derpibooru.
I’ve also seen some images on that same site about the mane six turning into various different species. So, I’m curious, if I were to write about swapping species, who would you like to be the focus? The rulers of the kingdoms or the students of friendship?

I think the rulers would be funnier, personally, considering they rarely interact with each other (not including Ember and Thorax because we all know that's a thing) and won't be as comfortable. The Young Six would most likely be mostly okay with it, since they are friends and have seen how the other species walk, eat, and live. Either way, I would look forward to seeing it.

Yeah, a saw a comment on this picture saying this should’ve been an episode in the show. Though, given how I may write it in the future, I think I might swap Grampa Gruff out for Gilda.

That would make sense. I never liked Gruff anyhow. Gilda would also make it more interesting, because she'd probably be like. "Get me out of this body! I don't wanna be a dragon!" and then accidentally blow fire.

True. Though I would think they wouldn't go home to their subjects like that, or at least Thorax. I mean, there is Pharynx to think about...he, for one, would definitely feel the need to bash some heads if he learned this wasn't Thorax just transforming.

How do you think Rutherford, Ember, and Novo would handle this?

Well, considering Celestia and Novo's implied friendship in the movie, Novo has possibly seen this before, just not cast on her. (Maybe a personality swap between the royal sisters when they were young?) Rutherford...well, we all know how he would act, stomping on things with his new body despite it not being built for that. Ember would most likely be afraid and startled, but not want to show the other leaders, as she needs to remain respectable and prideful. She would also most likely follow Gilda's example and demand to be switched back.
At least, that's how I see it. But who would be doing the swapping? The picture implies Discord but I honestly think if he were going to do something like that he'd include the royal sisters, considering his own history of pulling pranks on them.
