Collab with Wanderer D (AGAIN!!!) -- Sunset's Isekai x The Time We Have Left · 3:59am Apr 15th, 2020

Remember that time a couple months ago when Wanderer D asked me to write a chapter of Sunset's Isekai with him? Apparently that worked out well enough that he let me collab on another one. And as it turns out, we decided on a crossover with my most dreary and depressing story to date, The Time We Have Left.

For those of you who've read the original story, it won't surprise you to hear that this Isekai chapter is pretty sad too. I've long wanted to do a follow-up to The Time We Have Left (I really hate that title btw) about Sunset and how she deals with the fallout of the story, but could never settle on exactly what I wanted it to be. This crossover proved to be the perfect way to explore Sunset's grief, angst, trauma, angst, bitterness, angst and a whole lot more angst. Have I mentioned angst? Cuz there's a lot of that.

Just as with last time, D is a total sweetie and a wonderful writer and I was so dang lucky to be invited to work with him twice!!!. The topics in both this chapter and our last collab are really difficult to write about effectively, but he has a sense about him that lets him really make the most of the unique elements such subjects bring to a story and turn it into something special. I'm super proud of what we've written, and I hope you all enjoy it too.
