Well, it took a bit longer than I wanted, but I finally finished updating the FIMFiction versions of the stories in the Fleeting Light series—and caught like three more errors in the printed version—so the book is now officially for sale!

It's just under a week away and I cannot wait, so I figured a reminder post about Everfree Northwest would be a good idea.

Finally got things locked in for my book. It's all ready for Everfree Northwest in August (and Lulu just afterwards).

    Covers, Both Inside and Out

I received the second proof of my printing of the Fleeting Light series, and besides some brightness issues that I'm getting tips on correcting, it turned out incredibly.

So, I think it's time to show off a commission I'm beyond ecstatic and pleased with how it turned out. Say goodbye to the old blandness:

Rampant Productivity · 2:12am Apr 9th, 2020

Looking back over the past eight months is a bit of a trip for me.

For the longest time, I wasn't very productive. I didn't really make or do much of anything that had creativity involved with it. Back in 2011, just getting started with writing, I made a few things: a longfic that I wish I had never started, two horror fics, a sequel to the big one, some writeoff snippets that have never seen the light of day beyond that.

Then, it just stopped.

Off and on, for like three years, I worked on one thing, and then as soon as that got published, it was back to nothing. Then August happened.

I don't know if it was the show finally ending or having gone to the last Bronycon or just some random muse, but everything has kicked in big time. I finished the first draft of the finale for Fleeting Light in a week. I started doing speedwrites. I published a few of those, and I even had ideas outside of them that I've made into stories (of which some are not done). I even started actually reading things on this site. Goodness, if I'd only spent that five year gap reading things.

Some have done really well, some have done okay and others just kind of exist, but I've honestly never been happier with what I've written. I still gotta finish the finale's ending, just cause it's a lot of... technical writing that doesn't contain much character or story beyond snippets. It's dull compared to a lot of stuff so I've gotta just get it out. Still, expect it on May 2nd and for a week or so afterwards.

Also, a bunch of stuff after that, assuming this muse doesn't evaporate into thin air: Hypoesthesia sequels (Anesthesia and Paresthesia), a Lovecraft AU (The Mares in the Moon), probably rewriting Fleeting Light and all its parts to remove some of the repetitiveness I hear in the readings (though I still love the readings) and to maybe print it? That could be fun. Then there's that Sliders crossover I still have a dozen world ideas sitting around for...

Anywho, I'll try not to get too overambitious, because I'm sure that'll just end with me upset about not meeting some standard, but I hope what I put out brings some joy to at least a few of you. And whether you followed me way back when, or just recently: Thanks, a lot, like a whole whole whole lot.

You've definitely been on a tear these last few months.

What do the kids say nowadays? Ya love to see it? Yeah, that sounds right.

Keep up the hard work!

I look forward to what you are working on. What you have written thus far has been great.
