Valiant Charge

Why do we fight? To protect home and family, to preserve balance and bring harmony. The true question is not why we fight but rather "What is worth fighting for?"

Trump is officially the worst president since Richard Nixon!

First he says that asians carry the virus, then he tells people that it's optional to wear masks and now he orders people to stop exporting those masks!

Pardon my language but, IS HE FUCKING SERIOUS!!!

IS HE A GODDAMED IDIOT?!

I pity you Americans

That is an understatement.

You mean how he called it the CHINESE virus? You know, because it came from CHINA?

You mean like how like how Nancy Pelosi was telling people to go out and enjoy themselves like that failure of a mayor of New York

You mean how just about everyone is saying the virus is serious now? Would you like him to NOT keep those masks here? Even CHINA is keeping the masks for themselves and not exporting them, because you know, they care about themselves above all just like we should. You know, like how they tell you on an airplane in an emergency to secure your own mask before assisting others???

at least export the ones they have to the hospitals. My sister is a nurse working day in and day out for the COVID-19 patients and is being forced to reuse the same mask over and over. So if he is gonna hog all the masks at least send it to the places in need of them the most.

And how do you determine that? The conditions are bad yes, but each state could face drastic changes and ordeals in any given moment. They take the masks from one place to give elsewhere, the next week, BAM, that state now has an epidemic. Places like New York, while their people do not deserve to suffer, brought it on themselves by not taking this seriously. If masks that were meant for me and my own were sent away to those who did not heed the danger, I would be angered greatly. If we had shiploads of surplus, yeah, you'd have a point, but we don't, and it's thanks to China and the bastards who did their business and put their factories in China. Despite the massive blame going to China, I cannot blame them for keeping the masks for themselves, it's what I would have done, it's what any real leader would have done, we each care for ourselves and our communities now. The world is caring for itself now, look at the EU, Germany has closed itself off from its neighbors, because they care about themselves as they should, no one cares that other members of the EU are having it worse, what matters to them in the end, is them. Caring about others is a luxury, being moral is a luxury, when the going gets tough, you learn to look out for yourself. The scalpers are getting what's coming to them, but the people who just want to secure their own well being, nothing wrong with that. We all need those masks, and while I understand the blight and want you to make it through this my friend, know there are plenty of people who aren't in an epicenter who would tell you to take that shipment of masks from their cold dead hands. This is the way of the world now, as sad as is.

Then I can only hope this time passes fast

You and me both friend. Although, I hate to blot out the light at the end of the tunnel, things will never exactly be the same. Policy has changed in many nations, and while the emergency measures will be eased off, they likely won't disappear. Some of these changes will be here to stay, here in the U.S.A, it will likely only be some things, more strict immigration policies in place from the quarantine, other emergency measures like that, in other places in the world, I cannot say. Hungary has given their leader emergency powers for the crisis, he is now their autocrat, what he wants gets done in the snap of his fingers, by the people he was elected, by the people he was given absolute power, and there is a chance he will never set it down, that people won't complain after craving order in this madness and uncertainty, and that it will stay an autocracy for the foreseeable future. Other places will have varying results in between the two outcomes, all that is for certain, is that the world will be changed, likely for generations, if not forever.

*is watching this debate with popcorn* way better than the big-time debates

5236000
Really? I thought people liked watching Parliament bickering and belittling one another was what people found more entertaining

5236006
eh... politics are just people talking trash at each other...no facts... THIS... there are both FACTS and opinions! that was makes it enjoyable good sir/madam

5236218
....*applauds* in so many ways, in more reasons than one, thank you. It truly is refreshing to see appreciation for honest debate and trying to weave past partisanship to reach the truth whatever it may be.

Oh, and it’s sir.

Curious, what is your two-cents on the current pandemic? How do you think it will all go down.

5238636
honestly...I want to plead the 5th, because it can both be better OR worse

5238919
Definitely. I think some things will be better and some much less so, a mixed bag at best I would say.

I never liked Trump in the first place and I wished he’d die in the most horrible way possible it’s what he deserves!
