Hmm, odd search results... · 5:03pm Apr 3rd, 2020
I searched for Fimfiction.net in Yahoo, Bing, Duckduckgo, and Google... and ONLY in Google did I find the website in the search results. I can find the defunct site Fimfiction.com on the 3rd page.
I could find my old animation site, United Paws Animations, in ALL of them.
As of last week, Fimfiction was at the top of the search results in all search engines. Given that Fimfiction is distinct enough that it should be the top result in any search algorithm, I can only conclude something fishy is going on.
I suspect Fimfiction has been targeted by Content Removal Requests to Microsoft and other search providers.
Really? Duckduckgo too?
What's even stranger is that Google is already well-known as the most likely to pull this kind of stunt (at least by people savvy enough to realize that it's a thing at all).
You are right.
The funny thing is, there are many sites related to this one, including a wiki with tutorials on how to use this site and a TVtropes link referring to this one.
Search engines are weird, yo.
5235049 There are probably too many CCP members who clop to hard-core pony fanfic gore and stuff. They enjoy anything to do with torturing animals, after all... #WetMarketShaming
So they told Google executives, who all kiss their ass for sweet commie cash, to leave it alone. The other engines are more closely linked to Microsoft, and they only like Poke-porn and Renamon sex.
This is clearly the answer.
