Long story short, quite a few things happened. SMoTE is still not getting regular updates, at most I can try to squeeze a chapter out a month. This isn’t because I’m too busy with my new job or anything, because I apparently don’t have one.
So yeah, if you read my last blog post then you know I was planning to delay SMoTE updates because of some amazing job opportunities.

I've actually been wondering what time frame this takes place in. Is it according to the shows timeline or is it a hundred years early, therefore making the shows timeline different? I think it would be funny if it was early and all of Celestia's plans were ruined because of it.

There are some differences, like Eris being the god of chaos and the stuff going on with the sun and moon. Aside from that and maybe a species change, I'm debating wether or not to make Pinkie Pie a crystal pony descendant or make Fluttershy a thestral, nothing before the Empire's reveal in the show should change. As for why princess love and prince armor aren't there yet, they don't know about the Empire's return yet. They'll find out soon, but without a train between the Empire and Canterlot like in the show (since I refuse to believe that they had trains in the time before Luna's banishment) it'll take a while for them to get there.

I'm more curious to see Skeletor's reaction to seeing the princesses. I imagine upon seeing the princesses, Skeletor would do a 180, throw his arms in the air, and walk out of the room saying "Nope. Fuck this shit, I'm out."

I Personally Hope, This Story Won't Have Antagonist. I Think The Story Would Be More Interesting, if, It's Just a Story About Skeletor Meeting These Characters And Just Interacting With Them. (just my option)

There will be a few antagonists, but don't expect Skeletor to win because, "lol he's the main character, he has to be the one to kill the devil and makeout with my waifu Oc." No gods of death, no ultimate evils, no time traveling evil princesses, and no puppet masters that were secretly pulling the strings all along. And I won't be focusing a lot of fighting, (since I suck at writing fighting scenes and because they rarely add anything to the plot.) The ponies and interactions will take center stage of the story with antagonists being an occasional pawn to move the interactions in interesting ways.

It's from the MLP Nightmare Knights comic. She's just a bipedal griffon, that's it! That's her whole design and I hate it. They could have had fun with it, make her look like a bizarre mash of creatures, made it quadrupedal or give her a single snake tail to slither on. But no, bipedal griffon with matching horns, cause why be creative for a princess of chaos?
