TLaTU updates incoming, including some new content · 5:47pm Mar 31st, 2020
Hey, folks. After eighteen months of hemming and hawing about it, I'm finally doing the promised updates and major editing pass to The Lawyer and The Unicorn. The early chapters especially need the latter as I read some of the stuff I wrote back then and wince. No more violet unicorns, more showing and less telling, and fewer ellipses, which I had tendency to severely overuse back then.
The early chapters are being expanded to include more elaboration of Twilight's attempts to figure out human transformation, and her initial impressions of Los Angeles. This means two new early chapters will be posted to flesh it all out. A lot of the work was done by James CyberLink, who took it upon himself to suggest updates and add new information, and I'll also be using some new cover art he designed, to be posted along with the updates.
I intend to post 6 or 8 updated chapters by week's end, including the new content. So if you see it update, that's why. You'll be invited to read the start of the story again to see the improvements and the fleshed-out opening. I'll be trying to release a few new chapters a week after. More new content is likely down the line. Might that include some added M-rated scenes? Very possibly! But you'll have plenty of warning if there are.
Addendum to this blog: I am writing a segment in the next release of Firefly it's just taking me some time. I'm badly blocked for... reasons. Sorry, I'm holding up the show but I hope to have my bit done by the end of the week.
Glad to hear about TLaTU. You've advanced a great deal since then and it's good to see that get applied to one of your most popular older stories.

Don't worry about it. The chapter will wait until you're done. Or if you prefer, we can just shunt it to the next chapter, which will have a Nightborne segment for the Lunar Council receiving Typhoon in Hollow Shades, told once again from the viewpoint of Europa Universalis. That way, we could do another Nightborne/Highborne point/counterpoint chapter again. It's completely up to you.

For TLaTU? I'm flattered. There are plans to continue the story, as well you know, but there remains too much on my plate to do it immediately. But who knows; if I remain cooped up inside for too long, I might start into it.

Believe me, I feel guilty about that, but I can only do so much at a time. It's possible I'll still get around to it, but at least one of my other major works have to be completed first.
