Psalm 46 · 8:19pm Mar 25th, 2020

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Psalm 46

In this time we are currently living in now, nations are struck by fear of the recently ravenous Corona Virus. The fear level of it all is especially to the point of where people are staying indoors and cutting themselves off from the world because of the disease.

However, we should not let fear of this disease rule over us, as well as worry about what could happen in the future so much. Rather, we should trust in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is greater than that of a volcano, greater than a giant monster, and even mightier than the Corona Virus.

As long as we trust in God and have faith that everything will be under control by him, then we have nothing to be afraid of.

Besides, we survived other worse things such as The Black Death, Tambora eruption, WWII, and the Cold War.

I think God will help us, but would also want us to help ourselves. Keep distance, be vigilant and understandably afraid, but do not let fear run your lives.

It's very deeply concerning to me how quickly common sense went out the window when this thing was labled a Pandemic.
I'm not afraid. Lemme tell you why:

Sars
H1N1
Avian Flu
Mad Cow Disease

I could go on, but I can easily find more constructive things to do. This is just yet another problem that's doomed to the pile of other problems that we all just 'got over'.

Heck: speaking hypothetically, let's say that I get sick and that it kills me. What then? Does the virus get a trophy? Does it get applauded?
No.
My corpse will get taken care of and the virus population in me dies shortly after.

As long as we trust in God and have faith that everything will be under control by him, then we have nothing to be afraid of.

But also wash hands regularly and keep 6 feet apart. That'll help.

Be afraid of what you can control, be afraid of carelessness, but live your life.
