My new science fiction novel "Virtual Horizon" is out! It's about people who "upload" to a virtual game world under the care of a possibly too-nice AI, and about those who don't take her up on the offer. Obviously inspired by "Friendship Is Optimal".

If you've read my early novel "Thousand Tales: How We Won the Game", this'll look familiar. It's the result of my splitting the original book so that the core plotline of Paul and Linda became a whole new book with a whole novel's worth of new material. Worth reading for all the new stuff and better writing overall! The side-stories and a bunch of new ones became a separate book, "Thousand Tales: Side Quests".
