    Persona 6: Reflect

So, the story has been restarted. I'm helping Bahamut Omega a bit with it, but it's still his demon. And yes, it's still the Omega Ruby to my story's Alpha Sapphire. So READ IT GODDAMN IT!!!

Here's a link so you don't have an excuse not to read it. Get to work, people.

Persona 6: REM will be returning soon.

I've begun working on the next few chapters, as I'm still not at the part where I wanted to take a break initially, so expect a new chapter sometime tomorrow.

Progress WILL be slow due to my new job taking over a bit, but know that I am working on this one.

Also, 13 Sentinels will be worked on as well. Again, that won't be premiering for a long while though.

    Demo for my new project

For those who want to read it, you can find the prologue chapters in the following link. It's set up where you can comment there, but if you just want to comment here, that's fine too. I'm very curious what you all think of this.

Anyone want a "demo" of the new project I'm working on?

If you do, I can provide a link to it. It's an experimental story, like I said, so some things MIGHT turn people off here and there, but it's something I've been wanting to write for a long while. I have a Google Drive now with the prologue chapters (yes, plural. You read that right), so if you want to see that, let me know here, and I'll put up another blog post with the link to the Google

    Updating my peeps

Alright, so here's an update on things going on in my life:

1: I'm a lot busier these days. My Dad is recovering from surgery, and he's fine physically, but he was already in the early stages of Dementia, and the surgery actually made it progress a bit. I'm needing to help take care of him and do more around the house.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection, if you love Mega Man, GET THIS GAME NAO! · 7:25pm Feb 28th, 2020

Where's the next chapter of Persona 6, Azure Sandora?!

It's coming, eventually. I'm working through my writing slump, but it's slow. But reading over Persona 6 is helping immensely.

But in the meantime, we need to talk about the Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection, cause HOLY BALLZ, this is fantastic!

I'm a huge Mega Man fan, okay? I adore Mega Man. Only reason I don't do more Mega Man stuff here is because it's hard combining Mega Man with MLP properly, and I hold myself to too high of a standard to mess that up. That's probably my biggest issue with writing, and why I'm having this slump now.

Huh.

But anyway, I have the Mega Man X Legacy Collection, and I've played the Mega Man Legacy Collection (well, half of it) and Mega Man 11. When I heard about this collection coming out, I HAD to get it. One, so I could show my support for Mega Man, and two, because the games on here are fantastic in my opinion.

Like the name suggests, it has two series on it. The four Mega Man Zero games originally for the GBA, and the two Mega Man ZX games for the Nintendo DS. I'll be honest, I was iffy on the ZX games since those were on the DS and they have Dual Screens. I'm happy to report that this wasn't an issue for me at all.

The ZX games have multiple layouts available to make the game easier to enjoy, including ones that bring the game full screen but the "touch screen" is on the bottom smaller and off to the side. This WOULD be intrusive, but with the simple push of the L2 Trigger, it's toggled off. So if I don't need the touch screen, it's out of the way and I can enjoy the game full screen.

THANK YOU CAPCOM!

The Mega Man Zero games play exactly how I remember them, and I usually played them on emulator anyway, so getting to use a controller on a bigger screen isn't too different. Playing these games on a TV monitor though is AMAZING, cause again, these were all on handheld systems originally.

The collection also has special features if you're interested in that sort of thing. The full soundtrack of these games and the collection as a whole are available to listen to, the E Reader cards for the Zero Games I believe are available through the game, and in Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent, you have an option to link the games up with Mega Man Zero 3 and 4, so you can get the secret bosses found in those games from linking them up.

This collection literally thought of EVERYTHING.

If I had one gripe with it, that'd be the extra game found on this collection called "Z Chaser". It's a game that lets players try to speedrun either against the computer, or friends in one of two stages in each game to get the high score. It sounds good on PAPER, and even as someone who doesn't speedrun, it sounded fun. There was just one small issue...

In Z Chaser, you can't alter the button layout to your style.

This probably isn't that much of an issue for me in the ZX games, since the button layout is how I'd prefer it from the get go I think. Mega Man Zero though... no. I can't, I'm sorry. I'm playing on the PS4, and the Zero games have base attack mapped to the X button, and jumping to the O button, where I prefer to map jump to the X button and the default attack to the Square button. Because of this, I'm having to play thumb gymnastics in a game where the goal is to move as fast as possible. So the collection isn't perfect.

But it's damn close to perfection, I'll tell you that.

And the price was actually perfect for me. It only cost me 30 dollars on the PSN store, which I thought was dirt cheap, but it made sense when I thought about it. These games aren't that well known anymore, sadly. These games were on Handheld systems, and the ZX games, while good in my opinion, did come out during an iffy time in Capcom's career, so a few people were probably skeptical of it back then.

But please, if you love Mega Man, then buy this game. PLEASE. Show your support for Mega Man. Some of the games on this collection are better than others, I'll admit. Mega Man Zero 3 and 4 are excellent, 2 is fine, but Zero 1 is... well, it was the first attempt. Playable, but the others are better by far. As for the ZX games, I enjoy them, but the first ZX title I enjoy more because ZX Advent has voice acting and it's... um...

I'll... tell you in a future review.

Know what? There's an idea to help me get back into writing on here. Alright, I'm gonna do a marathon of reviews, where I talk about all six games on this collection. That way, we can all still talk and socialize while I get therapy for my habit of holding myself to too high of a standard.

Final score: 9/10

Recommendation: Buy It

I'll be sure to do so. In the meanwhile Azure. I recommend in our steed The Doom Games. They're about blasting demons to gibblets and avenging your pet rabbit. Oh and the loss of your team but mainly your pet rabbit.

Playing the Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection on switch and I love it. It's hard but fun. If this does well. Maybe we can hope for the Battle Network games to out next. I want them to come out so badly

Got this on Switch. The Zero series is one of my favorites, so of course I was buying this when it came out.

Wasn't that just DOOM 2?

Where's the next chapter of Persona 6, Azure Sandora?!

To paraphrase one KaiserNeko of TeamFourStar fame, "A Persona 6 chapter is never late nor early. It arrives precisely when it's fucking finished."

5211569
It's all Doom games if you believe Doom 2016 and Eternal.

5211636

I mean the pet rabbit thing.

5211637
Yeah again. That's ALL of the Doom games, minus 3, due to how Doom 2016 and Eternal are set up.

5211644

AH, OK, my mistake. Misinterpreted.

You had me at reviews of the Mega Man Zero games.

Also, I'm working on getting this collection for Switch.

Well, I finally got the Zero/ZX Legacy Collection for my Switch, Azure. I am eager to play Mega Man ZX due to the inclusion of the Omega fight, but I'm doubly eager to replay Mega Man Zero 3, one of my favorite games of all time.

Hey, Azure. I was wondering if you could help me out with something related to this collection.

I recently started playing Mega Man ZX. Being the scrub that I am, I'm playing with Casual Scenario on. Can you tell me what was changed for ZX's Casual Scenario?

5290869
From what I can tell, the enemies are easier in casual. I'm not sure beyond that myself, since I never play on Casual or even use it.
