So... my goal was to get 10k published a month, and it started off so hot too! For like a week.
School is ruthless, I get up around 5am, and do math from 6ish am to 6pm. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday happens to be my lucky day, I only math from 9am to 3pm!
Not to mention, being a math major means I do more writing than most writing majors! Each homework assignment, which is almost a daily thing now, is at least three pages long. And group theory... I think my shortest group theory assignment is 11 pages long? Maybe? And I gotta do my rewrites with it too. Not to mention, it's learning a ton of new things that are honestly fairly complicated and confusing.
For instance, (14)(23)(251)=(13254)! It's just hard to visualize.
Anyway, I really want to read my story I hate writing so never fear, it will be written. As soon as I can find time when I'm not brain dead.
I do have the plot figured out, the main cast finalized, and the ending visualized. Theme songs for each 'arc' as well. I think I did a good job of blending the casts from Yu Yu Hakusho and EqG. Gonna have some characters from both being the main characters. And one of them will have quite an interesting role.
I have, like, 1k-ish written for the actual first chapter though. So I'm really disappointed in myself. But yeah, the story isn't being dropped or anything. I really hope math writing hasn't killed my questionable creative writing skills though. They're two very different skillsets.
I was about to say you had that wrong, then caught myself and remembered wait no permutation groups you read each cycle left to right but do operations right to left
because
that's obviously the sensible thing to do I guess.
Complicated and confusing sounds about right for that kind of thing, yep.
Well, I'm just glad to hear this project isn't dead.
And I know too well just how hard it can get just to sit down and write. I've had a story idea I've been tossing around for like 2 months now and I just can't seem to sit down and actually type it out.

Yeah, cycle notation is just weird. You read right to left externally but left to right internally? Would rather go top down and right to left, like traditional Japanese. At least that makes sense.
Group theory is a mess, I may be able to get all my stuff done - for this assignment at least - in a day.
But i have two probability assignments, calculus 3, and a few programs to write and run by Wednesday too. Yay free time!

Trust me, I don't want it to be dead.
I have a ton of ideas I want to do with this, including some possible ships and stuff. And have two different possible end outcomes. But, a lot of stuff in it past the opening few chapters I am very much looking forward too.
Especially the dark tournament and "Chapter Black". Very much chapter black.
