Pink Scorch #2 - Action Preview

Pink Scorch stepped forth just as the beast, much like herself, took on a new form. Its body had a weird egg-shape with stout legs. When it turned to face her, four iridescent eyes glowered at her. It opened a ring-shaped mouth, revealing rows upon rows of teeth, and its tongue shot out.

    Scary stuff going on rn

The part of Texas that I live in is currently experiencing the 2nd worst wildfire disaster, and growing. Over 850,000 acres have been burned, and several towns/cities close to me have been evacuated. The fire's spread slowed down, just as it was about to hit a neighboring city, although an entire subdivision was forced to evacuate.

The fire is visible from my hometown.

Oh? What's This? · 3:20am Feb 10th, 2020

Wrote a new story and got it Featured in the Mature Box? Well, I'll be damned... I'm finally getting noticed.

When I started writing this story, I was going through a whole slew of things: Depression, anxiety, writer's block. There was a time when I thought I would never finish the story on time. Well, now, here we are: my entry into The Discovery - A Young Six Writing Contest!

I want to thank a few people because without them, I probably wouldn't have been able to push this story out the way I did (One way involved staying up until 4 AM because I wanted to work on it some more.).

Jack of a Few Trades was a major contribution to this story. He was the first person I told the idea to, and he helped with much of the editing. Without him, the ending would have been a mess, and the story wouldn't be in the quality state it's in now. Jack provided much of the needed motivation.

Freedom has stuck with me since The Divine Epidemic, and at this rate, it feels weird writing without him. I was glad to share this story with him and that we could go through it together.

Odd_Shot always finds time to read my work whether I ask him to or not. He also help with some much-needed last minute editing because I just barely finished it in time for the contest. Go read his stuff and say nice things about him. (Tell him Uncle Muggonny thinks he's gay.)

Last but not least... Everyone that supported the story.

I know it's not the time to be making thank yous yet considering I still have to make it through the judging process, but honestly, I'm just relieved I managed to write something for once no matter how stressful it was. l look forward to writing many more stories to come and to eventually move into books. I hope to become more active from this point on, but that's something only the future can tell.

If you haven't done it yet, go read my new fic The Bubble.

And to settle this blog, I would like to share a quote from the one man who has inspired me to be as introspective of myself as possible. He's a great writer who will do many things one day, even if he already has, and will go down in the history books as one of the greats.

“Social media, it's just the market's answer to a generation that demanded to perform. So the market said, 'Here, perform everything to each other, all the time, for no reason." ~ Bo Burnham

You know what, Muggonny? You're a good boy, a bad boy, a good bad boy, a half good half bad half boy.

Proud of ya.

Now, continue forth. You're a great writer, whether you've acknowledged it or not.
