The Stars Revolt! Archives 1 · 6:31am Feb 7th, 2020

Shepherd was rummaging around the ancient human libraries, helping the Pony scholars to categorize much of what had been incomprehensible to the alien equines. He was writing down notes on a notepad as he went from storage room to storage room.

Shepherd: "Okay... Door 117-Gamma. What do you have?"

He entered the room. Inside was a stone. Embedded in this was a sword.

Shepherd: "Let's see... Sword buried in a carved granite stone. Sword appears to be Western style. Steel work... Some kind of inscription on the blade... I can't make it out... Seems familiar."

He pulled the sword from the rock, and read the inscription.

Shepherd: "Ex... Cal... Libur...?!"

He stood for a very long time... Before shoving the sword back into the stone, running out of the room, and slamming it shut as he breathed hard.

Shepherd: "Haa... Haa... Haaa... N-Nope... Nope... That did not happen. That did not happen."

He headed to the next door, opened it... And the sword and stone were there.

Shepherd: "I already told you! NO!"

Back at home...

Twilight: *Blinks* "Shepherd? Why is that sword in the stone sitting in my hallway?"

Shepherd: "Don't ask."

So, how would the whole King of England thing work without an England to rule? And Celestia and Luna?

These are questions Shepherd didn't want to answer.

I bet Applejack could pull it.

Shepherd will beg for ANYONE ELSE to pull the sword. Because the damn thing won't leave him alone.

It's worse than that damn hammer...

Should've called itself Caledfwlch. He'd happily carry it around for months before realizing what it was.

He’s going to have to, whether he wants to or not. And after all Twilight is his girlfriend. It’s not like ‘don’t ask’ will produce anything but endless curiosity.

Plot Twist, Equestria is Avalon. Arthur is somewhere around in an enchanted sleep, and he’s the only way to get rid of the blessed thing.

I can’t help but imagine Twilight’s reaction to the The Lady of the Lake.

Twilight: "Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."

Shepherd: "I should have never shown you Monty Python and the Holy Grail."

Yes, Princess. Ordained by the will of harmony.

Twilight: "It's not the same thing!"

Shepherd: "It really is."

Twilight: "Celestia and Luna were ordained by the power of Harmony itself!"

Shepherd: "They were ordained by magical bling out of a crystal tree. How is that less silly than being handed a sword by some bint in a lake?"

Im soo looking forward to your blogs.
They are soo funny to read.

Celestia probably had her old mace just lying around. Heh.

Andrew: I'M NOT EVEN ENGLISH!

So that's why the one true king of England isn't around! The sword got dimensionally shifted!

The funny part to me is the possibility that he's merely the truest king of England in Equestria. Like, if someone English showed up, the sword would default to them as being truer.

Edit: Never mind, I just read Archives 2. :facehoof:

'knight of equestria' or something, right? he should've just kept it. would make his job easier.
