Chapter started, and a reading begun!

So I have gotten some genuine progress on the next TCP chapter. I know how I want it to go, and I'm very excited about what comes next.

Additionally, Fire Hearth has taken on the daunting task of doing a reading to TCP, with Chapter 1 currently out!

Christmas, tornadoes, and new chapters oh my!

December is always a busy time, and I recently got a new job that has been consuming plenty of time (far more mentally taxing than the last one; less physical though, so that's a plus). Still, new TCP chapter is released, and I will be chasing it with a ROM one on Monday.

February 2020 Update · 7:51pm Feb 4th, 2020

Hello everyone, just wanted to put out this months update, because there is one big announcement. I will be going on a one month Hiatus (the big scary word) for the month of March. (Or at least the first two weeks of it). Essentially, March is filled with stuff that will keep me away from my computer including but not limited to: my birthday, several surgeries (nothing says happy birthday quite like drugs!), spring break, which I will be spending re-connecting with my dad, and so on. I'm actually looking forward to a lot of it, but by consequence, I won't be available to write anything new for those few weeks.
In the past that wasn't an issue, since, as long as I could post, I could set up chapters to drop while I was away, but right now, CP is being written week by week due to school related factors. I'm trying to finish one of my courses early so that I have more time to write, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that. In good news however...
The Centurion Project
Is doing great! We are steadily approaching 500k words, and 5k views! I'm really hoping they line up so that both happen on the same chapter, but we'll see. The training arc still has somewhere between five and fifteen chapters left in it, then we are on to the march arc! Who's gonna live, who's gonna bite the big one? Will Elias and Luna ever stop skirting around their feelings? Will Book Binder finally kidnap Elias and force him to sign adoption papers? Is this all a dream that Elias is having as he bleeds to death at the bottom of a cliff? Pray it's not that last one We're going to find out! I still have a great deal of story left to write, with at minimum four full arcs left in the main story. I'm extremely excited to see what you all have to say about what I've got cooking.
Project Golden Years
I did make a decision, and The Centurion Project will have a sequel! With so many ideas and plans, I am definitely doing one "canon" sequel, and I may do a few short off-shoot "non-canon" sequels exploring some of the future arcs in the main story. Project Golden Years won't be as cohesive a story as CP though, and it will follow a more anthology style format, covering a long stretch of time and different plots. Essentially, it will have arcs, like CP does, but they will be far more self contained, with the potential for decades to pass between them. Still, I intend to explore some fun ideas, what ifs? for Elias and gang to sprint headlong through.
Other projects
Speaking of decisions being made, I decided that I will not be going into writing clop fics for contests. I got the story half of it done, but when it came to actually writing sex, I felt no motivation to make characters interact in that manner. In the context of a wider story (like CP) sex makes sense as a useful story tool about discovery and maturity, but clop? It's just not my bread and butter.
On the topic of contests though, I did enter two! I cannot reveal what my submission is, but I do encourage you all to vote (when it opens) in the Anon Filly contest. I'm actually quite curious to see what other people wrote (since the whole process is a bit secretive)

With that however, that is all the progress I've made. All my other stories are still on hold, but I haven't really put any of them down. I would expect sometime in the next six months to see progress news on something not related to CP or a contest (I'm hoping either the ESB prequel or my D&D story) but we'll see! Thanks for all the comments. I don't respond often (unless I feel I really need to address something), but I do quite enjoy reading what other people are thinking. It does scare me occasionally how accurate some people can be with regarding predicting the futures of certain characters.

I hope my writing continues to impress!
