How I write · 12:49am Jan 14th, 2020
Okay, first off, this is NOT an attempt to tell people how to write or that my way of writing is best, because it's NOT. I'm simply selfishly throwing out there a glimpse into how I form my dumb little story.
Really I'm just vomiting up a bunch of stuff locked in my head to try and see if someone understands the method to my madness.
My writing is organic. Wow, that's a general term that can mean so much bullshit. What do I mean? What I mean is that my story unfolds as I write it. That sounds ridiculously obvious, but let me explain. I don't know what will happen before I write most of it down. As my fingers type, the images appear and the characters speak and interact with each other. Now i'm not a madman who believes that I don't control what I'm writing, obviously I do. I have in my mind's eye where this story will go (probably) but how the characters get there is a bit of a mystery. Yes, I do control many of the outcomes, I guess, but there have been times where I am pleasantly surprised where certain moments came from ("you stole them from somewhere else and can't remember!" "You may be right.").
So, in short, and maybe the real reason I wrote this: if you want to know when "such and such" will happen and "when will whatshisface will get with insertnamehere," the answer is "I don't know!"
Soon. I can kind of foresee the future on certain events and there's only so far my dumpster's worth of story can go.
Makes perfect sense to me! That's how I do any kind of writing, especially backstories~
