I like reading and writing sinister and macabre stories because I find them deeply cathartic. If you do, as well, then you're in the right place.

Revanchism Soundtrack - Seneschal Arka-Povis · 6:25am Jan 11th, 2020

I do amateur composition stuff, so I figured, why not make a soundtrack for Revanchism?

I had this theme for the big baddies from my fanfic kicking around in my head, and I couldn't get it out of my damn noggin, so I had to load up my DAW and actually make it into a track.

There's more to come, in the future. I've got about 11k words done on Chapter 16, but it needs a lot more work. Also, I commissioned 1Jaz for more art, in case anyone wanted to see what the Dragoons look like. That should drop any day, now, but hey, he's a kickass digital painter and his masterpieces take time. :pinkiecrazy:

This is dope! Love me some good bassoon in the opening!

Nice. How did you make the recording? What software do you use?

FL Studio 20, iZotope Ozone, and Spitfire, mostly. I also have Cubase, but for some reason, I never liked using it as much as FL, even though some things about it are categorically better (the audio engine, for one thing). I also have NI Komplete and quite a few VSL banks, plus MIR and Ensemble, but I've found that Vienna isn't ideal for the style of music I like doing, which is particularly... modern.
