MLP Gaming - Pool of Radiance (2)

2020 has just started, and I now feel motivated to keep blogging my gaming session. 2019 kept me VERY busy, but don't worry. I won't take 9 months for the next one. I promise. In fact, I'm going to make several small ones out of what I've made

So, our 6 companions reached the abandoned Melkor library, hoping to find books that might've help the city of New Phlan.

MLP Gaming: Pool of Radiance (1)

Since Wizardry VI takes a LOT of skill grinding before I can even begin (and this is really damn boring for me to do this in one shot), I decided to show off another game. This one is as old as me.

    Not-so-shameless promotion

I'm a VERY low-key FimFiction user. I don't know how many I'm going to reach, but I do want to promote a certain fan-animation.

The Fall of Sunset Shimmer, by Minty Root

    Simply wonderful.

I figured that if I can't write anything insightful, at least I can write something entertaining.

Every Brony has their own quirks. Some write fanfictions, some spend way too much time gazing at fanarts, some write analysis and some spend sleepness night imagining characters paired together. As for me, I get a certain kick out of playing RPGs as my favorite MLP characters.

    Some signal that need boosting

I've only done one other blog post (due to my rather uninteresting life and that I don't write nowadays), but here's something that deserves attention. And even if I only reach the couple few that somehow follow me, at least I will have reached someone and done my part.

It was a long and tedious search (thankfully, Rainbow Dash could find some old adventure texts to keep herself occupied). Twilight was absolutely ecstatic. She spent hours and hours cataloguing every book, long after the rest of the party had fallen asleep. They manged to find:

- The Grand Historian's Records of the Arts of Wars ("Calling dibs!" said Rainbow Dash)
- The History of the North ("I think I know some of this" said Applejack)
- Lex Geographica ("Finally! We'll see what kind of ghastly world we're in!" said Rarity)

- Fyerdetha's Discourses on Power ("The what?" said Applejack)
- Urgund's Description of Darkness ("Hmm. I wonder how many shades we're talking here." said Rarity)
- Meditations (Rainbow Dash yawned loudly)
- The Harmony of the Rock ("Oh! Oh! Me! Mine! MINE!" said Pinkie)
- Storm's Discussions of Poetics ("mmm...Can I...look..." muttered Fluttershy)
- Chronicles of Arram (Rainbow Dash tried to sneak it off and read it)
- Discourse on the Nature of Writing ("MIIIINE!!!" screamed Twilight)

It took a LOT of efforts (and a group of goblins to finally pry Twilight off those books. She really wished she could've spent more time. But Rarity wasn't too keen on staying on such a dusty place. Not to mention the cobwebs and the slime infested gardens.

They did find a Manual of Bodily Health, which Rainbow Dash studied immediately (to everyone's surprise).

As they were leaving, a cavernous voice bellowed "WHO DARE TAKING BOOKS WITHOUT CHECKING THEM OUT!!!" (OK. He didn't really say that, but you get the drill).

The party faced a Spectre. Protector of books. Or so he claimed.

Protected by Fluttershy's spells of "Protection from Evil", our six heroes fought bravely (avoiding it's draining touch). Applejack managed to get the final blow.

As they were going back to New Phlan, Rarity noticed that Twilight's hands were cramped around one of the books. She could hear her mutter under her breath "Remember to returns ALL of my borrowed books once we get back to Ponyville."
