I think New Years is reason enough to break the silence · 8:38am Jan 1st, 2020
(Slaps self) POSITIVITY, DAMN IT!
Anyway, Happy New Years everypony, and hopefully this next decade goes better than this last one did...
You know what? This decade went okay. In some ways it was the best decade of my life. I started it with a job, a house of my own, then I started watching MLP, found Sam's Silent Ponyville fanfic, and then started tossing ideas around my head at work until I felt like starting to write Reunion, which to this day is the single most viewed thing I've ever put onto the internet, even if it still isn't finished. My 2010s just... ended badly. Really, really badly. Maybe I just need to accept that I've needed time to recover, and maybe I can try and start again this decade. Friendship is Magic might be gone for good but that just means fandom content is now the only content, and I want to get back to providing it.
Anyway status update on projects. I have two chapters of a miniseries relatively done, just gotta get some eyes on them, give 'em a once over, and they'll be ready. But I'm wary of doing so, because that leaves a chapter unwritten, and you know how that goes with me. Ideally I'd like to get all three chapters done and post one per week for a steady three weeks of content on this account for once, but hey if I take too much longer maybe having the first part out will give me a good shove to get the last bit done. We'll see.
While I'm at it, though I feel kinda scummy advertising it here again, I do have a Twitch channel that I stream to three times a week if you ever feel like popping over there while I'm live. I'm not exactly a master twitch streamer by any stretch of the imagination, but it's nice to have something I can do steadily that gives a venue to talk to people, yaknow? https://www.twitch.tv/broadside17/
So, Happy New Years, and a belated Merry Christmas. Here's to a better 2020.
This is good to hear.
