    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

Merry Christmas! :yay:

Also, I have a silly thing for you.

I mentioned this idea last year, and I had to draw some scenes out for this year.
Granted, a few tweaks are here (A. This is clearly an AU where the Sandwich parents aren't complete wet blankets, and B. it was Ralphie's friend, not brother, who got his tongue stuck on the pole--but it's exactly the kind of stupid situation that colt Tommy would find himself in, so...), but all in all it was fun.

So, my loot this year...
~A smartphone! Since my old cell phone was a very outdated flip phone that couldn't contact my mom's (not to mention it was so easy for me to forget because I could barely do anything on it), it was high time I got something a little more modern.
~A shirt that says "The Chicken Whisperer". I am the designated "Chicken Mom" at my house.
~A cute necklace from my dad.
~A CTR ring ("Choose the Right")
~Rainbow Dash socks
~A book about pioneers
~This weird antique ball that my sister Marshmallow Wings got from the antique store just across the highway. I have no idea what to think of it.

Also, bonus points, I'm more happy with what I gave to my family members:

~For my dad, a CD of Western movie themes
~For my mom, a puzzle
~For my brother, a shirt that says, "Because SHUT UP, that's why" (It sounded like him, I had to get it :rainbowlaugh:)
~For my sister-in-law, a wall plaque that says, "Thank God for what you have, and trust God for what you need"
~For my sister Artsy Notes, a little keychain with one of her favorite Star Wars characters
~For my sister Marshmallow Wings, a shirt with a Skeksis on it that says, "100% Organic Gelfling Essence" (she's into Dark Crystal these days)

I like it when people are happy with what I got them, I try to put as much thought into my gifts as I can.

Lastly, have this nice, pretty song I've been enjoying lately:

And once again, Merry Christmas!

That lamp... My sister has a sweater with that lamp. Truly, it is a cultural touchstone. And a major award.

The infamous Leg Lamp and Ralph's fantasies have to be my favorite things about that absolute classic of a movie. :yay:

Haha, same. My brother gave me a giant puffball. I have no idea what to think of it, either.
