"Pinkie Pie's Hearth's Warming Vacation" is finished! It was a tight finish, just as I predicted, but now the story is complete and the release date I aimed for has been met!
Those of you who have followed my Ponyfic Advent Calendar will already know what this story is about, but for those who did not, let me tell you with a few words what awaits you in this story:
The idea for "Pinkie Pie's Hearth's Warming Vacation" was conceived by me last year, after I watched "Best Gift Ever", MLP: FiM's first (and so far, only) Hearth's Warming Eve special.
When I saw that the Apples and the Pies would celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve on Sweet Apple Acres together and that even Sugar Belle and Grand Pear joined them, I felt instantly reminded on the holiday classic "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".
The scenario was ideal and perfect. And since I had already planned a hearth's warming eve story last year, I decided that this story would be my story for Hearth's Warming Eve 2019.
It is a story about the Apples, the Pies, Sugar Belle, Grand Pear and a few surprise guests preparing and celebrating Hearth's Warming Eve together on Sweet Apple Acres, in one gigantic, old-fashioned family hearth's warming. And since this is such a momentous occasion, Pinkie Pie wants to make it all perfect for them.
Of course, in true holiday fashion and in spirit of the movie I took inspiration from for this story, a lot of things will go wrong in Pinkie's plan of celebrating the perfect family hearth's warming..... Because, really, what else is to expect when 17 ponies from two different families are under one roof for the holidays?
This story is full of wacky holiday madness and family drama, some of it silly, some of it serious. What woes can there be in the festive hearth's warming season if so many ponies want to celebrate together?
