So... almost two months since Tube-Tober ended, a good five months at least since I started work on the season 3 opener, and as of Friday the 20th, I had high hopes to have the damn arc completed by Christmas. Not published, but at least completed and sent off to my editor.
Of course, the best laid plans of men and chaos beings never survive contact with the enemy or reality.
In short, my grandmother passed on Friday. The reason I bring this up here is because I'm more than likely not going to be in the mood to write until probably after the holiday, so the new season probably won't start until after the new year.
There are other things connected to this that are possibly going to foul my mood further, such as my grandfather furiously insisting that my grandmother be buried Christmas Eve, royally fucking up our traditional plans and pissing EVERYONE off (did I say that out loud?), so I'm just going to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, a happy whatever else you celebrate right now.

It's been awhile since I lost both my own grandmothers, but I still miss them both terribly.
And yes, your grandfather is being a horrible jerk about all this.

Not too good with words most of the time. So will simply say take all the time you need. No need to rush or muscle through anything like this if you ain't feeling the flow right now. Especially in situations like this. I do hope you and yours still manage to have a relatively enjoyable holiday and that the new year may bring better fortune.

Because while it's not the original it's an okay interpretation that aslo 1) has the best Cindy Lou Who in my opinion and 2) is the ONLY one of the three adaptations that give the Grinch a BEARD when he steals Christmas! I mean seriously! The beard is one of Santa's defining features and yet in both the original and the Jim Carry movie he dresses like Santa BUT HAS NO BEARD! The only way Cindy would have mistaken the Grinch for Santa is if she was a complete IDIOT! Especially the Jim Carry version! WHY DOESN'T ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS!? I mean, if you had a guy dressed as Santa but with no beard and he claims he's Santa, how quickly would you call bull!? Pretty damn quick, that's how quick! YOU WOULD PULL A FAMILY GUY AND CALL THE COPS, THEN KNEE-CAP THE SONOVA BITCH WITH A BASEBALL BAT!!!!!
