So, I was watching MisAnthroPony's video on how the series finale ruined Discord's character and how he got off scot free for essentially putting Equestria into danger by uniting Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow. I am sure that there are some of you who were probably wondering the same way if Discord should have been punished further such as being turned to stone with the Legion of Doom or worse.
I want to make things very clear that to avoid a possible backlash and for the sake of my future development in my post-series fanfiction projects, I decided to spare Discord from severe punishment such as being put to death and have him just go through the process of being arrested and being brought to the hospital to see what his actions did to Twilight.
Furthermore, this will add to Discord potentially being a major part in the final confrontation I have planned as part of an effort to fully get himself on the good side of Equestria once and for all!
There are some Discord loyalists out there (and I am friends with a few of them through the Brony Community) and the last thing I want is to piss them off!
How about he gradually loses his chaos magic and is turned into a Magic-less pony and his animal parts turn into real animals? I mean that would be a great idea because the show fail to show a consequence for peace.

Besides Twilight I believe Spike was also hurt badly by what Discord did. After all besides Fluttershy he's the only one that spent time with Discord on a semi-regular basis.
From what happened in the story so far, I say Discord's own punishment(be it from fate or other ways) from his iffy plan is pretty sastifying to see. Though I wished he faces the music of what his plan had done to Spike(with not just the Chrysalis bit. But especially the Sombra bit too. I'll.. explain that later) along with what it has done to the royal sisters(especially Luna for me) more ways than one
If I were to punish him, the most extreme thing I probably do is just let him get a butt-kicking from the royal sisters(at least from Luna) and Spike. Or just not let him get his magic back for awhile at least until he repairs everyone's trust in him, since I am pretty sure his plan would have hurt everyone's trust with him since he did all this cr*** behind their backs. I say force him to watch over the trio instead of turning them to stone(since he's responsible for that mess) and give him a hard bonk on the head.
I wish the season 10 comics would at least have him see his plan had did more damage than he thought and he does something to make up for how it screwed over the royal sisters(I'll explain more on that later..) and have him go through what Sunset did in Rainbow Rocks(as in the citizens being mad/distrustful towards him like how Sunset had to atone by dealing with the students not trusting her and being mad at her during the special)

I see Discord's plan had done more damage to Spike in multiple ways.
With what Chrysalis was about to do(imagine what will she do to him if she at least acknowledges that Spike is responsible too for her losing her hive due to befriending Thorax). And also the Sombra mess.

I think that Discord's fall from nigh-all powerful being to one that could be drained of magic and easily fooled is punishment enough.
The original Discord was nearly unbeatable, knew just about everything about his opponents, and manipulated them rather easily. Since the season 2 premiere, however, his power and knowledge has slowly dwindled over the course of the show.
MisAnthroPony can make some pretty good points on different subjects and shows, but his video really didn't have any. Discord is balancing being a being of chaos while trying to remain reformed. If he changes himself beyond his current nature, he ceases to be Discord or even made cease to exist. Despite what people will say, Discord made the right decision because these villains were not able to hide and scheme without someone knowing. The mean three would have united and would have found Grogar's bell with or without Discord's involvement. At least Twilight and others got to know about the mean three's plan as opposed to being taken completely off guard. Also and most importantly, all three of these villains were VERY crafty before Discord was involved and people should know this by now.
Him creating his own Tantabus and suffering from sleep depravation on top of being briefly jailed seems like punishment enough. But perhaps a future episode could be dedicated to him trying to make things up to Spike and Twilight? Perhaps in the episode about Spike wondering what life without his wings is like, Discord could be there to witness it and be racked with guilt?

He completely forgotten what he said in his debut by saying this: "At least I don't turn ponies into stone."
JUST WHAT THE HELL WRITERS!!!!!
