Magic Step

I'm a conservative Christian and a conservative, first and foremost. I write AU, all my main characters are detestable OCs, and I'm a Troper. Braeburn is best pony. T for violence only.

You really, really don’t want to sleep on the streets out in Canterlot; you’re just begging to get captured and sold to work in mines, or factories, or to be used as a guinea pig by mad scientists. Trust me; I’ve had neighbors and coworkers vanish before, back when I lived in a worse part of town.”

Revising Phoenix's First Adventure and Other News

I always feel really self-conscious thinking about writing one of these things because it seems pretentious to assume there's people following my progress on my stories. But at the same time I wouldn't feel right to do this without any kind of explanation, so here goes.

Character List for Another Member of the Band

UPDATE: The story this character list is for has been cancelled but may be revived at a later date. This will be left up for archive purposes because I don't believe in deleting things off the internet.

I don't even know if anyone remembers who I am...

So it's been... over a year since I last published anything online. My most recent stories were not doing very well, neither on the site in general nor with my friends and family or even with myself. Depressed and discouraged, I slowly stopped updating my fimfic stories and focused on real world adulting, including my first full-time job which I enjoyed and for a while seemed like the place I should be getting fulfillment from instead.

But I never really stopped writing or dreaming about my Phoenix Flight series or the other crazy ideas I had for stories... and it took a really long break for me to realize that I'd written thousands of words of a new fimfic when nobody at all was expecting me to or praising my genius or anything like that. And I remembered that the reason I write is because it's fun.

So I'm tentatively going to be releasing some of those thousands of words occasionally. I still don't have any real long-term plans or any ability to keep up a schedule, but I never want to stop writing forever.

My first project is going to be a complete rewrite of Turnabout Buttons; the prologue will be the same, but I rewrote the rest of the story from scratch. Same crime, but entirely different sequence of events. It just made more sense this way. If anyone wants to check it out I hope you like it; I've been writing in a vacuum so long I no longer have any sense if I'm writing a good story or a bad story so some feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome back, majestic Magicpone

I don't even know if anyone remembers who I am...

We remember. Phoenix Flight! That was a good story. You caught the grasp of the Ace Attorney.

It's certainly surprising, but at the same time, I cannot blame you for deciding to tap out for awhile.
Now that you're back, I'd love to read more.

If I may be so bold to ask, will you write another installation of Raven Hollow? If you decide no, it's fine.

I completely forgot about the buttons, though, so that's something to think about.

Sincerely,
A friend and a wellwisher.

Raven Hollow is a collab with PonyJosiah; we've discussed ideas for the next installment but still haven't really entered the outlining phase yet since we're both busy with our own mystery series and full time employment. It's definitely something I would like to do but I can't promise I'll get to it any time soon....
