So a little while ago I posted my rules of magic and it was mostly incomplete I finally looked back on it because I decided I wanted to use it to make a spell, but then I realized something; what is an aspec? What makes an aspec a thing? The way I've come to see it is spells are like molecules and aspecs are like atoms. Som what are the aspecs made out of? Atoms are made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. So what are the proton, neutrons, and electrons of aspec atoms? This is where I need help. I want to be able to define aspecs better so that I can have more consistent rules on what aspecs can and cannot exist. Please share with me your ideas on this in the description.

but how they define the aspec? I guess aspecs like fire will have a lot of will in them...
Do aspec "electrons" serve the same effective role in magic as their namesake, ie. facilitating the chemistry between atoms, or "making connections"? Or does that take the analogy too far?
At some level I wonder if they should be comprised of broad fundamental concepts, ideas like "connection" or "relation" or "action/change".
I don't remember much about this movie but I think their magic system is based upon scientific/emotional grounds if I remember correctly so maybe you could take some pointers from there? I would try to reason something out but I feel that wiki could give a better explanation than anything I could do my caffeine fueled late night state.
what about concepts. for example the aspect o fire would be made of the concept of heat and light, probably some other things aswell but that's the basic premise.

Hmmm the current way aspects join together in spell forms is through linking aspecs, but I could always change it. One thing to keep in mind is what ever makes up aspecs need to have consistent rules like how atoms work.
