While it's still St. Patrick's day...

Don't know about you, but I've already chomped down on some corned beef and enjoyed a cold Guinness.

    Now's time for some tunes:

Carol of the Day: Dec 3rd · 6:18pm Dec 3rd, 2019

Today, we're listening to "Mele Kalikimaka" sung by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters.

Also known as "The Hawaiian Christmas Song", this song deviates the seasonal setting from the cold and snow to a tropical paradise. Where Bing is enjoying his holiday in the sun and sending his greetings to the freezing folks back home.

... and he has to qualms about rubbing it in.

When I first heard this song, I was still living in Canada, and could not imagine celebrating Christmas on a hot beach--let alone one without snow. It wasn't until years later when I moved to Florida that this song finally had some meaning for me.

There is something to be said about how wrong it feels to be putting up Christmas light in a T-shirt, flip-flops, and shorts.

Though, we may have a cold Christmas this year. Temperature dipped into the 40's overnight.

... and I'm very happy about that.
