So, I asked Google if furries and anti-capitalism has anything in common. · 10:19am Nov 27th, 2019

Answer was ..mixed bag of links.

On a bit more conservative is blogpost called furry-socialism . Interesting blog in general, but somewhat 'too mainstream' for me, when it comes to really question our (not own'ed by us, may be it even shouldn't, at least in usual sense) world.

Another find was more .... revolutionary:
Manifesto For a Furry Future: A Manifesto Of the Furry Socialist Movement 1st Edition

None the less .... at the beginning of this text I found this passage (may be a bit dated by now):

If our Fandom were organized around intellectual property, ie, if “Furry” were a
product on a shelf and we were all fans of it, then we would be beholden to the profit drive
and boardroom whims of the mega-corp that owns that IP, and by extension own us. Artists
would panic before cease and desist letters, none of our periodicals or sites would be truly
independent and would only be allowed to exist so long as it served the profit motives of the
company. All work undertaken by the Furry Fandom would either directly or indirectly go to
the profit of the company. Fanart would be free advertising. Furry labor would go unpaid.

We would be analogous to the Bronies. The Bronies built in two years what it took us
20 to build. They built sites of their own, a lexicon, an extra-cannon, A convention system, and
beat the pants off the Furry Fandom when it came to animation. They would have been an
equal contender and powerful friend. But they did not have what Taral Wayne, founding Furry
and contributor to Vootie referred to as “a sovereign and independent Fandom”[1].

Hm, no, really I think many writers here developed their own views on ponies, created their own Original Characters and so on. Thing is, I unfortunately found both (interleaved) fandoms to be mostly mainstream when it comes to common (non)sense views ..:/ Same mainstream'ed cliches instead of thinking ...:/

Sorry, I'm partially in bad mood now, but this 'bad mood' lasting for years and years, because ...well, humans. Somewhat interesting ideas just crushed by everyday's reality. Everyone forced to play compromise, and on terms dictated by current trajectory. What in other times looked like extremely interesting artistic experiments now looks ..out of place, a bit? I mean, knowing few things about how hard to move this world in truely unusual directions - how can others still led things slide? But, yeah ...others are humans, therefore ....

We fail.

In crude but accurate terms, this is how a lot of people think:

  • I need stuff to live, so don’t question how I make money to get it. I’m special!
  • Hey, look at their stuff! I need some of that to boost my image and reputation.
  • I’ll do whatever it takes to get it, so screw the environment if need be. People first!
  • Is it wise to destroy your very life-support system to accomplish this? (voice of reason)
  • Look, I gotta feed my kids so get off my case. The guv’mint/tree-huggers just want to control me!
  • The conversation ends there because they won’t rise above their CYA programming.

I might not agree with piece about police completely, but this one was too real to just ignore ...

Every subculture apparently generates their own mainstream, and this mainstream mostly reflects main mainstream .... or act like it locally. So sad, for me at least.
