Just your average Brony who happened upon an idea that might actually turn out to be clever enough for guys to love.

Octopath Traveler Optional Boss spoilers! VICTORY! (non-pony post) · 8:36am Nov 27th, 2019

The Devourer of Men is no more, it was Tressa who made the killing blow, calling upon Brand's divine might with a maxed out burst charge to finish it off!

Tressa, "How's that?"

Very good Tress, very good.

The horror wasted one turn trying to summon a third pair of spore spawn, but thankfully the game actually didn't let after it let out its 'unholy shriek.'

Party:

Ophilia

Ophilia's Summoned NPC Boulder fall "Town Person" Toughness 10 of 10 Sword type, special attack 'Guillotine.'

And 120,000 to 200,000 I think spend on the Merchant's Hired Help ability. Leaving me with 80,919 cash in game.

I don't care about 'sunk cost' fallacy, it's that I was able to accomplish it at all!

I'm reminded of a phrase on a youtube video,
"'Real Men finish Kirby Return with Spear' this, 'Real Men finish Kirby Returns with no abilities' that, REAL MEN FINISH KIRBY RETURNS PERIOD!"

Now I have the other half of the game's actual story to do... Onward Ophilia to Goldshore... but first, to return Ellie to her father, we've rescued the damsel from The Devourer of Men and returned her from the Forest of No Return, that makes us heroes.

Oh and my playtime is now 101 hours, 21 minutes, and 59 seconds.

Big props man. I only made it through the first optional boss in Octopath, it took me over an hour, and I gave up because it seemed too much of a hassle. Nice to know someone who defeated them all.

Pretty sure that wasn't the last optional boss, but thank you.
