Also note the prudish thing is coming from the fact that I haven't read Hands in a year or so now.

As a refinement; Velvet's books don't rate very well on the book lists due to her Mad Scientist/Professor job affecting the stories with an overabundance of factual descriptions meaning her stories are often mislabeled, not as smutty eros but hard science fiction.
