Ok, right now I have two story ideas that I don't think I can do justice to, so I figured I'd throw them out and see if'n anyone else is inspired by them.
On the late side since Nightmare Night has passed, we have a Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash horror flick. Think Misery with Scootaloo as the obsessed fan. Seriously, why hasn't anyone done this yet, it seems a natural.
Better epilogue. Why does Twilight stay in Canterlot? Sure, I can understand initially moving to Canterlot, stability and consistence, makes sense. But once everything's settled, and everypony has gotten used to their new ruler, why not move back? Much of the day to day operation doesn't involve the princess, so it's not like they need her there in Canterlot. Any arguments about moving to Ponyville can be countered by pointing out that it's adjacent to the original capital in the Everfree. Plus she has a castle there, so no real costs of building it. Plus this gives Spike a better job than Friendship Ambassador, since he could manage the Canterlot part of the government for her. As to Celestia and Luna, I imagine they'd get bored and want something to do, so they could move back to the castle, Celestia could become directly involved with her school and maybe take on a personal student. Luna is harder to figure, something to do with the arts, or maybe military? The castle itself would likely be a museum and library, as well as Spike's home.
