It happened again!

And so soon after the last time, too!

Snowliason has just published a new story for my not-a-contest: Flexible Working Hours. It’s only the first chapter--Lilac Joy’s gonna have more adventures (I hope) in her time on Earth.

Of all the jobs I’ve worked in my life, I’ve worked at a small restaurant, a little Mom-and-Pop establishment in a small town. Twenty years on, they’re still going, which let’s be honest is quite impressive. As you’d expect, we got most of our food from a distributor (can’t remember who), but some things were gotten locally; on more than one occasion I went across the street to the IGA to get more bananas or lettuce or whatever we were running out of, and of course as one does in a small town, I just told them who it was for and didn’t have to pay at the checkout. It was just added to our tab.

I’m pretty sure Lilac Joy is an OC--there aren’t any hits on Derpibooru for her, so I can’t provide any specific art of the pony this time ‘round, but luckily I’ve got something that’s thematic:
