This list is not about my favorite stories of all time. That's my favorites list and one of these days I may get around to writing reviews of those fics.
The List is about stand-out, in-progress works that deserve more love, for whatever reason. In addition to general reviews of the fics, these blog posts will tell why I picked a particular story and highlight any features the reader should look out for. Spoilers will be appropriately marked, so you'll be able to read my reviews with confidence that you'll be able to read the story itself and experience the same surprise and delight I did when I first found it.
Also, authors and fans of works will be able to submit stories. Premise
So there they were, at least two realities, if not more, under threat of cataclysmic magical disaster, Twilight Sparkle having unleashed the magic and Sunset Shimmer ascending into a cosmic Force of Friendship herself, the rest of the HuMane 7 along with the Shadowbolts scrambling to keep people from falling through gaps in the fabric of time and space, cats and dogs are filling out lease applications to live together in the very near future, when suddenly a force arises that is as unstoppable as it is unexpected that brings the entire epic confrontation to a screeching halt...Twilight Sparkle's mother.
Princess Columbia's Synopsis
Twilight Velvet turns the whole operation into an epic of silliness that would get any version of Pinkie Pie to sit up and take notice.
I personally think the fight righteous beatdown delivered by Celestia on Cinch is a bit too silly, but generally the rest of this fic is magnificent.
Why am I highlighting this fic?
When life gets too serious, sometimes you need a dose of the absurd.
What makes this fic particularly good?
Remember my last review about the Dazzlings and the cartoony nature of the fic? Yeah, same thing.
Who would like this fic?
SunLight shippers will adore this, at least what's written so far, as will (of course) fans of Midnight Sparkle and Daydream Shimmer. (What would that ship be called? MidDay?)
