How big are my ponies?

I imagine a lot of people have varying ideas as to how big an MLP pony is. I thought it might be a good idea to give everyone reading my blatherings a good idea of how big I picture the ponies in my AUs are.

This is a Welsh pony. Not exactly a big animal, but large enough for a small rider, and reasonably canonical with the Harry Potter universe with perhaps the wizard raised ponies being on average, a little larger.

I use earth standard for my Pony sizes as well. A pony can be up to fifteen hands high, or five feet at the shoulder. That would likely put the top of their head over six feet. That would be big Mac.

A Shire horse gelding named Samson, also known as Mammoth, stood at 21.2^1/2 hands. That's over seven feet at the withers.

There is a 'serious burn' in one chapter that requires knowing that Shire horses are Big MF horses.
