Short Summary: 7 girls, 7 shades, and 1 heist of the century.
They would be humans in this story.
Long Summary: Twilight Sparkle, a genius in intellect discovers magic. Celestia gets her to join a secret organization called the ‘Equestria Girls’, an organization that deals with anything related to magic and dealing with it. But this newfound magic is powerful beyond anything imaginable and many people will go to extremes to have it. Someone has stolen a piece of Magic and they need to get it back before magic is revealed to everyone.

Summary: The main 5 and Ponyville keeps on getting attacked by other Feudal lords trying to take the small farming town to enhance their war efforts. As a last resort the main 5 decide to summon a demon, Discord, to help them protect the village. Instead of Discord, they get the Celestial Golden Oak Librarian, Twilight Sparkle.
It somehow works.

Undertaking the Dusk

In a world where the Pegasi forgot how to control the sky, where Earth Ponies forgot their roots, and Unicorns were scorned for their magic, Twilight Sparkle is tasked by a deity to find six artifacts of great renowned power as a side job. Her main job is to save Equestria from eternal night, but everything's pretty vague for the horncapped danger to society after breaking out of the Caves beneath Canterlot.

After magical surge at the test, Twilight is taken to a 'special' place where all the other powerful Unicorns are. She joins the Unified Unicorns led by Sunset Shimmer before using a teleportation spell to escape the dungeon when it came to her in a dream. She ends up somewhere near Spike, saves him and escapes by jumping into a barrel and rolling herself into the waterfall.

After a while, Twilight and Spike go in search of dragons and magic. Twilight gets dreams about Princess Celestia, meets the other girls to find the Elements of Harmony, powerful artifacts of ponykind to save world from Nightmare Moon.

Twilight becomes the Masked Matterhorn, makes the Power Ponies complete and unites them to fight evil.

Journey to Magedom

To become an archmage, Twilight needs to go on a journey. She finds herself in Ponyville, facing a lot of evil shadow creatures from the Everfree Forest.

Reincarnation of the Goddess of Harmony, Twilight Sparkle is an orphan pony in search of the Elements of Harmony because Goddess Celestia said so.

Spark of Crime
Twilight happens to take over the Crime-verse and soon molds it into a force of vigilantes.

King Sombra is making Equestria pay really expensive taxes. The ponies decide to rebel.
