Hello!
As I write this there's a solid twenty-odd people that'll see any notification about it, but as such I firmly believe I owe a good chunk of them an apology.
To any of you who've been following me since First Contact or More Than a Pair of Wings, I'm sorry.
I really, really should have at least communicated about them a couple times by now, rather than just ghosting. I do still plan on continuing, and despite a few... major changes, let's say, required to the next chapter of Wings, it's well on its way to being postable. I do not plan on leaving any of my stories unfinished, in the end. [EDIT: As a show of faith, I've gone ahead and updated the cover art for Wings, both to learn how to use Krita and to renew my drive to follow up on the expectations here]
In that vein, I'm also working on like three more stories. Posting the two recent event-motivated stories has let me figure out a rhythm to work between university and my writing, so I'll be putting more effort into giving you guys content you can enjoy. As such, I'm willing and happy to take feedback and suggestions in terms of things that you would like to see executed in my style, as nebulous a definition as that is with my limited catalog. The new stories in progress... one's a bit of a goal for NaNoWriMo, though I'm not officially participating, and that's a SunShy drama set in a mildly alternate EQG-verse. Coming in with the title Villains, I have thirty chapters already mapped out, and I also have fears that it'll be the length of a short novel. It's a long-term story, if I'm honest. But it's something of a pet project I'm excited to share. Besides that we have The Unicorn and Princess Rainbow (Title based off of a song, originally my idea would have been named Hidden Gem).
That one is inspired by Earthsong's Bodyguard!AU, but taking a distinctly RariDash approach. About half of this short story is currently written, with the final product estimated somewhere between 10k-15k words. I've also been working a little on some original concepts, including a short story I will be trying to finish up today once I've posted this blog.
I wanna thank everyone, as well, for the support you've given Prise de Mare and Distance Over Time. It's really driven me to write more, and I really am excited to share more stories with this community.
You'll likely be seeing the Wings update in November when I inevitably get tired of writing Angsty Sunset Shimmer for a day or two.
