The most (un)important blog post ever

Just letting you know that BioShock is still AMAZING. I'm on my umpteenth playthrough of it and still thoroughly enjoy every second.

Story Ideas That Never Happened (Part 1)

You know those four lists that I came up with that only had the titles of stories roughly accumulating 200 ideas (which eventually was whittled down because I was ashamed of some of those ideas)? Me neither. Okay, well yes, I do.

So I showed my friends this page

My friends and I have this mini-game we play to out-cringe each other. You know, stuff we did that we regret, adolescent experience, and more. Naturally, once a huge brony and fanfiction writer, I have ammunition to ramp up the cringe counter. They can't possible out-cringe that. I expected ridicule, if I'm being honest.

Sequel Plans (Update, kinda...) · 5:24am Oct 27th, 2019

If y'all don't know how much of a procrastinator I am, then buckle up. I'm probably the laziest writer here.

But I've got some good news! I've written down some sort of outline for the sequel! That's better than nothing, right?

The whole story is planned. It'll go something like this (I'll cover up the somewhat spoiler-y material if you want to be totally surprised):

  • Probably 8 chapters
  • The first 6 will center on certain character groups and will be concurrent with one another. (For example, Chapter 1 will be a Smolder based chapter that takes place sometime after the end of SDGAF. Chapter 2 will feature most of the Young Six somewhat after the end of SDGAF too. And so and so forth until Chapter 7. Both 7 and 8 will take place after the events of 1-6.)
  • Once finished, I'm still debating whether or not to release it all at once, or a day by day.
  • Smolder X Ocellus ship (because fuck you, that ship rocks. Feel free to @ me, but my opinion will still stand.)

All that's left to do for me is write. A fuck ton.

Sorry if it's not much for you, but I have been working on something. I had a family trip to Austin, the World Series to watch, a PC to buy (by the way, I'm still in the market if anyone wants to give me good suggestions on what to get), a speedrun to possibly get back into streaming with, more stories to write, a trade to get planned and be successful with, bills to pay, and sleep to get. So... priorities (AKA I'm a lazy asshole trying to give excuses as to why he isn't more productive).

That's it for me. Peace.

I'd say post a chapter a day, it'll give you higher chance for folks to find the story.

Excited for the sequel once you get around to it! :pinkiehappy:

That's what I was leaning towards. Dumping it all on one day might deter people from reading a giant story. Thank you for your input! I'll try to get it done soon! It's already long overdue lol

I second that. I always wait 24 hours between chapters if I've got multiple chapters ready (which is rare for me). I think here on FimFiction people seem to not mind all the chapters all at once, but on the other sites I've been on, you lose views big time if you post all chapters at once.

Looking forward to it.

I love Smolcellus too. Wasn't it sort of confirmed canon in the final episode?

I don't see how you can post a chapter a day? Like, do you write the entire story over a long period of time and then release a chapter a day.

I try to write three chapters a month. I have some "demons" and usual revert to alcohol, drugs, and packs of cigarettes when writing. That, and I'm writing three to four stories at once. And then, when I finish a chapter I have to run it through two different editing programs because of my sloppy writing. I don't see how people can find the time to write and post a chapter a day.

Then when I post a chapter, or a story, I feel like a lot people are put off by what I write? Or, maybe, how I write it? It's all an enigma to me.

It's open to interpretation, so it depends on you ask.

I believe it though. :raritywink:

The last time I wrote a chapter series, it was inconsistent and difficult for not only me, but the reader to get updated. I had to cancel it for those reasons as well as my own disinterest. I don't want to have to do that again.

My plan is to write the whole thing, edit, polish, etc., then release it day by day. I hope that works out better for everyone.
