    I Live!

But I’m on a buttload of drugs and am going to pass out.

Surgery went great, even better than expected. I’ll elaborate more later.

    Until next time!

Various Updates, Good and Bad News · 5:24am Oct 27th, 2019

Heya, Folks!

No fakeouts this time, just announcing the goings-on as of late. Last time I let you know that I had signed a lease for a new apartment and had been talking to LiveOnNY (NYC's OPO) about a work position. Well, good news and bad news (which also comes with good news and then more bad news) again.

Good news is that I'm happy to say that my new digs are close to being finished with the setup. Still have a few things to build and some things to buy and organize, but a lot of the big stuff has been brought in and is at least ready to be put in their proper places (though various eating material—plates, utensils, glasses, etc—need to be washed before being used).

Bad news is that I'm still kind of being jerked around about the work. I've met the team(s), spoken to some other administrators, and am waiting for another follow-up. I'm sure some of you have dealt with that before.

The good news that comes with that, though, is that during my in-between waiting and apartment-readying time, I got bitten by the writing bug. I've managed to write through chapter sixty-three of DaD. I'm just starting on the next one. You know in the past when I said that I had writer's block and was working on chapters that were happening later on? We're coming up on some of those now (even though I'm actually still doing that with even later chapters).
Unfortunately, there is some other bad news that comes with this as well— my editor is coming up on a long work trip, and after Tuesday this upcoming week (if then) I won't be able to work with him for at least another month. We won't get through enough on Tuesday that I'd be willing to publish the maybe two chapters that would be ready before breaking again. It'd just be unfair to you all.

I'm still kind of in a writing groove right now, though, so I'm going to try and get as much writing done as I can. I'm happy to say I'm not in any kind of medical 'crisis mode' at the moment (knock on wood), so other than continuing to prep my apartment before officially moving in and waiting on various follow-ups from LoNY, I don't really have anything else I have to do or worry myself over, since I don't have any freelance work at the moment. However, if anybody wants to commission me for editing, or knows somebody else that might, I wouldn't mind the extra cash. Every little bit helps towards the food bill. If you'd like something outside of pony, I can give you my official page.

That's all for now. Until next time, all!

Glad the move's going well!

Sorry about the work difficulties, though. Glad it came with its own little bits of good news, at least. :)

And glad your health's presently alright; good luck indeed on it staying that way!
