The Plan Moving Forward

So, I think from now on I'm gonna start giving myself some concrete deadlines. Beginning with the most recent chapter of The Pros and Cons of Working Over Time (Wednesday, October 16th), I'm giving myself a 2 week deadline, so at least by every other Wednesday people can expect a new chapter from me. What I mean by this is not that I'm always going to post a chapter on those days specifically, I may end up posting a chapter or two within those 2 weeks, just that I'm setting up a rule that I need to post at least one chapter during that time. If life gets in the way, I'll mention it and we'll get to what happens when I finish a story once I reach that milestone.

I've got issues with motivation as anyone who follows me likely knows by now. And I need the practice not only writing, but also putting out chapters rather than worrying that they're not good enough and holding back perfectly fine chapters because they don't quite match up to the quality I have in my head. I have too much self-doubt, and it's hard to let go of that. Well, that and I can't improve if I don't try. I'm sure I have plenty to learn about pacing and flow and dialogue and so on, but I can only get better from here. Anyway, wish me luck.
