New Writing Group: A Movie Night With...

Hey readers and followers!

I know I don't often do blog posts, so this might feel a little out of place... that said, I wanted to point out a fun new group that I have started up:
Movie Night!

One of the things I have really noticed in this two-year excursion into fanfiction writing is the huge number of PMs and comments I get requesting me to do a story idea that I think is really great, but I just don't have the time to do... or a story that is just not my cup of tea.

And always, the response I get is: 'I'm not a writer - I can't write - my writing sucks'...

And that is super discouraging! I can tell you for a fact that my writing is not anything to write home about - and pretty much anyone out there can do it! And that's the idea behind this new group...

Movie Night is an idea I've been sitting on for a while. Why not keep the story short, character-focused, and fun?

Pick a pony, pick a movie, and write a quick little fic about you and your equine pal reacting to the most interesting moments of the movie you're watching and have at it!

You'll have great company writing alongside you! I plan to fire off a story myself in the next week or so, and I'll be doing my best to bring some of my writer pals along with me... I am already looking to bring one of my very favorites: Duelist96 out of retirement.
