MLP Season 9 final thoughts/Series closing thoughts SPOILERS · 1:56pm Oct 13th, 2019
To be honest, this season has had many ups and downs, but it was just an okay season. Not great, not bad, just... okay.
I'm not exactly thrilled that Grogar was Discord all along. While in hindsight, it was foreshadowed, I can't say it was a good idea. Though the stakes were raised with the other villains, i couldn't help but feel disappointed that Grogar wasn't the final threat like everyone wanted him to be.
The Last Problem, luckily, was a much better episode than the two-parter; a decent epilogue showing how far the characters have come. It also acts as a nice bookend to the series as a whole (literally!), and it leaves enough open for fan interpretation and possible fanfic material.
On the whole, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was a great series. Far from perfect, but still a great show. I am very happy to have watched this series to the fullest and have met other who enjoy the show, like the ones on this and other sites.
