Just some brief thoughts on the finale SO SPOILER WARNIIIING FOR THE LAST EPISODES AND STUFF!!!

I have to comment on it though, Twiggles mane in screenshot two looks ridiculous. Volume without substance, maybe animated it looks better but damn that screen shot made it no favors.

Maybe this means that the floaty mane is connected to control of the Sun/Moon, and not a thing that's inherent to just being an alicorn?
Or, Cadence's own connection to the Crystal Heart is somehow affecting her particular alicorn nature in some way?
Or, as a fanon idea I've seen floated (heh) a time or two, the floaty mane is them literally (and either consciously or unconsciously) venting excess power, and Cadence just isn't in that league?

I was so tempted to take that rock thrower and add in Ellen Ripley from Aliens cry of “Get away from her you deleted. It would have fit the RariTwi there.
Sooooooo many background cameos.
The amount of RariTwi in this was beyond anything I could have expected.
And Rarity and Twilight were also the only Mane Six not strongly hinted to be paired up with someone! So it could still happen.
Too many scenes to be coincidences.
And they have to ruin the end with a twilight / celestia and an anabolic spike
I didn’t care much for the epilogue, especially the character designs (poor Twilight... I too couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t have at least gone with the Cadance/Luna proportions), and the glimpse of where they ended up felt more restrictive than inspiring to me (although Rarity’s current involvement with the Yaks was the only bit that seemed like it had a new story behind it.)
There were some great moments over the whole of the three episodes though, and Rarity summoning the power to save Twilight and being the first to sacrifice herself to allow her escape was indeed the best.
Clearly this means it’s canon
RARITWI IS CLEARLY CANON.
I do agree, a Luna/Cadence body would have fit Twilight's personality best, imo. I know she's meant to step in Celestia's shoes as it were; the student becoming the mentor. But Twilight just shouldn't be that big.
And can we just acknowledge how AppleDash was implied to be a thing in canon?
