    Please help this get shared.

A friend of mine recently got out of a longtime abusive relationship. Said abuser has moved onto her kids, but because fuck humanity sometimes, her efforts to protect her children have been undermined.

    Well... crap...

So I was playing Fortnite on my Switch in an attempt to relax (yes it helps me relax). And then I heard a rather loud crack from my left Joycon. My character would now only walk slowly. And I can only get icons to move up occasionally. Can't use Up+B moves in smash barely at all...

So. Um... Anyone know where I can get a reasonably cheap replacement for my left joycon?

Thanks to anyone who actually showed up.

I did NOT get the money I needed, but I did get a contribution, so thanks for that... *sighs*

Hey, if nothing else, I managed to get two of my stories updated. That's something, right? Friendship is G.I. and Waking Nightmares: Remix Heart both got updated.

Not bad for 6 hours of work, eh?

Finale as it relates to Waking Nightmares *potential spoilers* · 2:07am Oct 13th, 2019

FUCK the 'Discord is Grogar' twist. NON-CANON TO WAKING NIGHTMARES. SUCH a waste of a character. I am SO damn disappointed.

Okay. Grogar exists in Waking Nightmares: Remix Heart and is alive. But he never gathered a Legion of Doom, Chryssi, Tirek, and Cozy remaining independent villains.

Celestia and Luna never decided to randomly retire right out of the blue. They are grooming Twilight for a leadership role, but they aren't going to force her into it until she's properly trained.

I have found a way to put in two villains from the IDW comic. I will not say who. You're allowed to guess, but I won't confirm anything one way or another. You'll just have to wait until their arc shows up.

I'll just say that Rough Diamond was a favorite villain of mine from the IDW comics.

And I detested Cosmos for being a scapegoat for Discord's early days of evil making his redemption pointless.

And sweet heavens, I thought I was ALL ALONE! ;-; *HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

NEARLY EVERYONE ELSE is treating the show all this perfect goddess! I'm so overjoyed just to find someone who actually finds ACTUAL FLAWS in the later seasons!!! *HUGS!!!*

so, this mean you're gonna update soon?
also, random-ish aside, but will you ever update that Warhammer crossover you have?

With regards to the Grogar spoiler, it just means that the real deal is still out there, somewhere. After all, the bell was confirmed to be his AND to hold his power, and Discord had to have gotten the appearance from something that the trio would recognize as more than just a name. Plus, it means that Grogar didn't get taken down like a complete chump by a magic-addicted horse-man with Daddy issues--if Discord's poking had any accuracy, and not considering the Fiendship is Magic series from a few years back--an angry bug who can't stand the idea that she might not be the top of the heap, and a pony who could probably keep a legion of headshrinkers in business for a lifetime with her assorted problems.

Yeah. While there's a lot I liked in later seasons, you could tell that the writers for the show were starting to burn out... I'm sad to see the show end, but I'd rather it end than become something like the Simpsons which just WON'T FUCKING DIE...

I have a theory that Matt Groening sold his soul for success, but the condition was that the Devil takes his soul as soon anything that Groening creates isn't on the air as a first-run program any longer. So he has to keep The Simpsons going as long as possible to avoid paying his end of the bargain for as many years as he can manage :pinkiecrazy:.

Wait...that was a thing? That's...Grogar was like, Tirek's brother or something?

Hmm...Was Grogar a G1 villain? Can't remember where I heard the name before.

5138055
Yeah, he was a G1 villain. Here's a compilation of his scenes.

Celestia I can understand but why would Luna retire so soon after getting what she wanted?

5138941
Probably because a thousand years on the Moon with nothing wore her down just as much as Celestia stuck on a throne for the same period. They might not be immortal, but they're definitely long-lived, and living that span essentially alone--even though 'Tia had ponies, their lives were flickers compared to her own--doesn't sound too healthy. So in the end, Luna probably didn't give two shits about seating her butt on a throne, so as much as she wanted to be in her sister's company.

So when Celestia decides she's done, and it's time to hit the road, Luna didn't see any reason to stick around either. Twilight's capable, her friends are with her, she doesn't need a thousand-year-old (and then some) legacy lurking over her shoulder constantly. Instead, go have fun and relax with the sister that she'd not been with for such a massive period of time.

When it comes to Cosmos upending Discord, I see it through two lenses. When he's describing their interactions in the past, he's being an unreliable narrator to try and worm out of culpability. That would be a very Discord thing to do. When it comes to Cosmos making him look so helpless in the present... even though Discord has power, and a villainous streak, the comics did a great job portraying a toxic relationship, where Cosmos has worn him down or makes him so nervous, he can't take action against her.

I'm not sure what you mean by people treating the show as a "perfect goddess." There's a lot of emotion that's been pouring out this season because people are sad to see it go, and have been thinking back on how much it's changed them. But I see people criticise the later seasons all the time; on Fimfiction, Deviant Art, and Equestria Daily, my main sources of Pony content.

I never seem to meet any of them ironically.

Sure I GET IT, the Sisters represent the show, and Twilight coming into her own represents how the kids and adults attached to the show have to live their lives, face challenges, and make friends without it. I really do appreciate it. But in-universe, it would be an asshole move.

It’s an OK move for the SHOW to take, and fanfiction can be written to incorporate that development. But I think fan-world writers should just keep them around. Have Celestia and Luna want other alicorns (or maybe other beings) to keep them company in immortality, and take some of the workload off. Or at least work alongside them for a few years grooming before retiring. It makes more sense as a functioning universe, and it will still function symbolically. The Hasbro Studios showstaff had to take their inevitable leave, and we lost that guiding influence. But now we’re writing our own stories, hence we get to arrange the Princesses how we decide. That definitely feels weird, you go to Knighty's viewing pages, you'll find plenty of people that will pick stuff apart, or just disagree with some of the underlying concepts. Do all your fans who respond to your blogs just happen to like the show way more than you do?

Did you still like the finale, Knight?

5142590
The VERY LAST episode, yes. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't horrible and was enjoyable.

The villain subplot, especially after Grogar was, ugh, revealed to be Discord planning on sacrificing the villains to boost Twilight's confidence, was completely pointless. It was one of the biggest wastes of viewers time and storyline potential I've seen.

Season 9 was the absolute weakest of the series, I think. I'm glad it ended there instead of turning into another Simpsons or Family Guy. (I used to enjoy Simpsons, now I just want it to go away. Family Guy I've hated since Day 1.)

I don't get what you're talking about with Season 9 being the worst, we had a lot of solid episodes. You talk about endings and series still spinning its wheels, but this season was able to settle a lot of things, and brought a sense of finality that I think was somewhat lacking from the most recent seasons.

Agree to disagree, I suppose. The villain episodes feel wasted, Dragon Dropped made me want to strangle kittens I was so enraged, and while there were some good episodes, I just didn't like the season overall.
