Well, Generation 4 of MLP has officially ended and I am currently sitting here typing this up with tears in my eyes.
I came into G4 very late in the game, thinking that I would never watch such a goofy show as this. But....after watching the very first Equestria Girls movie, I started watching the past episodes and I found my love for the show.
I have watched these girl’s friendships grow and evolve as time went by and even watch a new generation of Equestrian creatures learn, to use the very thing that they always said, that “Friendship is Magic”. And now that it’s over, I don’t want it to be.
I won’t post any spoilers to save anyone who might read this and hasn’t seen it yet from being spoiled, but I was literally crying like a baby during the final song. It wasn’t a particularly sad song or anything. It was just the fact that it was the last song that I would ever hear in G4.
To borrow a quote from Doctor Who: “But times change, and so must I“. It’s the end of an era, fillies and gentlecolts. Now....we await for the coming of Generation 5.
You may be over, but you will never be forgotten in the hearts of all of us.
