New Story: In the Pound · 1:51am Oct 12th, 2019
Good Morning from my Writing Lair! This is Shadow_8472, and today, I published my first complete story, and I'm so glad I made my goal of publishing it before the series came to an end. Let's get started!
In the Pound is a little something I wrote based on a an idea I got while responding to a thread by Latecomer when he was advertising some groups about punishment. After a little conversation, I had written a prompt and decided to start my story with it.
I drew the cover art myself. The original concept sketch was done with no references, and only took about half an hour. When I finally decided to actually draw Pound, it took me all week. I used a little program called MediBang Paint. If you want to see the cover art in different stages, I posted progress updates in the Bad Art group.
Pound's time out includes a few personal experiences. Spoilers may follow. When I was younger, I always felt like I was the one getting into trouble because I was the one always getting time outs while my younger sister didn't seem to get as many. I learned later that children respond differently to the same punishment.
Pound doesn't think of having to fix the cookie jar as punishment. Likewise, Pumpkin doesn't think of sitting in the corner as being much of a deterrent. In reality, Pinkie knows the twins respond differently, but her first priority is to keep them safe.
Final Question: On a scale of 1 to Pinkie Pie, how many Cake Twins did you enjoy the show?
